To set a pre-assigned driver to your vehicle, access the vehicle's data and, on the Pre-assigned field, select the driver from the list and save.

Keep in mind that a vehicle already associated with a supplier cannot have a pre-assigned driver.  

Additionally, the same driver can be pre-assigned to only one vehicle at a time.

The usage of the pre-assigned driver is simple.
Consider a duty where a vehicle has already been assigned (which has a certain pre-assigned driver). The moment you go to assign the driver as well, the pre-assigned one will be preselected in the availability window, and to the left of its name will be a blue star icon.

The same applies if you assign the driver first and then the vehicle.
