Set the prices and costs for Private tour

To configure prices for a Private tour rate table, access that rate table and select the Tour Prices tab.

You can select the tour type as either Half day tour, Daily tour, or Several days tour

Keep in mind that Sengerio looks for prices of one type or another depending on the duration of the service:

- Duration of less than 6 hours-> Half day tour

- Duration between 6 and 24 hours -> Daily tour

- Duration over 24 hours -> Several days tour

For the half day and daily tours you have the possibility to configure the prices for a Generic tour or a Tour by area.

For a tour of several days, there is only Generic tour.

  • Generic tour

Define all the items you deem necessary to calculate the tour price and, for each item, choose a unit price and associate it to a quantity that could be Total Distance (every mile is multiplied by the unit price), Duration in hours (every hour is multiplied by the unit price), Duration in days (every day is multiplied by the unit price) or a Flat price.

When the rate table is used to calculate a price for a quotation or a booking, the final amount is given by the sum of the unit price of each item multiplied by the specified quantity.

Let’s look at an example. The configuration below means that the fare for the driver is $30 per hour and for the vehicle is $0.40 per mile.

By entering the data in a quotation or a booking, the price is automatically calculated and applied.

To see the details of the calculation, click on the Final total or open the Prices tab of a booking or a quotation and click on Show rate table.

These details show a slightly different amount because the sales tax are calculated on their own based on the one selected in the service.

You are free to add all the elements you think you need to calculate the price and you are free to specify for each item, a Band and a Lowest price.

By configuring the Band, you can define, for example, a price for the first 100 miles and another price for the next miles, from 101 miles and above.

By setting a Lowest price, if the quantity multiplied by the unit price is less than that value the Lowest price is used anyway.

In the picture below, the band is set at $0.35 from mile 1 to mile 100. However, given that the the supplier has specified a minimum price of $20.00, you must pay at least $20.00 even if your journey does not cover the entire 100 miles.

In addition to the unit price, you can also configure the Unit cost for each element. This information is used in the same way as the price and when you will create a new quotation or booking, in addition to the price, the cost will also be set.

  • Tour by area

Configure prices for a specific geographical area by entering the Tour Area, Duration in Hours, Included miles, and Price.

In addition, you can specify the Cost of any additional hours* that exceed the duration, this includes an extra cost for every mile that exceeds the initial mileage.

Add a new area by simply clicking the + button.

When you make a quotation or a booking, if the arrival of the route is within the configured area, the Price you set (with any extras if the trip exceeds the duration or distance) is applied.
